The Hilton Select
Basketball program is starting it’s seventh year and will
continue to
strive to offer increased opportunities for young boys
and girls in grades 3 through 8
to play competitive basketball.
Hilton Select Basketball offers a more
comprehensive game schedule concentrating
on the fundamentals of the game and further developing
self confidence in our players.
Hilton Select Basketball promotes good sportsmanship,
team play and the discipline
of the game. Our long term goals are to help build
basketball skills at a young age and to develop players
that will excel at the game when they reach high school
level
of play - along with having fun perfecting their skills.
We will have a minimum of 3 teams playing
in local tournaments and leagues from
October through April. We field programs for 3rd - 4th grade,
5th - 6th grade,
and a 7th and 8th grade teams for both boys and girls.

Since 1972, councils have sponsored the
Knights of Columbus International Free Throw
Championship for boys and girls between the ages of
10 and 14. The championship is set up to have
the contestants compete within their own gender and
age group. All competition starts at the local
level. Winners move on to the district, regional,
and state or province levels. From there, some make
it to the international level for championship
competition in their group.
