The Lady Cadets finished the regular season 13-5 with a win over Greece Olympia (4-14) on February 16. Senior Carneisha Henry led the Lady Cadets with 20 points in their final regular season outing - a game that not only defied the Laws of (Foul Trouble) Probability but saw the Lady Cadets turn a marginal 2-point lead at the end of the 3rd Quarter into a 24-point lead at the final buzzer as the Lady Cadets outscored the Lady Spartans 29-7 in the final period. With 3 starters (Reinhardt, Moss and Jackson) periodically sidelined with 4 fouls each beginning mid-way through the third quarter, Coach Jeff Eichas rotated his bench to successfully fend off the possibility of any players fouling out. All active Lady Cadets saw court-time and scored in the Lady Cadets win. 2009-2010 marks the second consecutive year that the Lady Cadets have reached 13 wins (2008-09 season's 13th win came in the Monroe County Tournament). Juniors Alex Bennett added 11 points and Biz Reinhardt had 9 points in the Lady Cadets' victory. (RECAP) The Lady Cadets are seeded #2 in the AAA Standings behind Fairport (16-2). Hilton will host Rush Henrietta (2-18) game (the winner of the Round 1 vs. Wilson Magnet) - on Thursday, February 25 at 7:00 pm. The Lady Cadets are currently ranked #2 behind Fairport in the Section V AAA, and 3rd in the Monroe County West.
The Lady Cadets and the Greece Arcadia Titans first matchup this year (@ Arcadia, January 14, 2010) ended with the Lady Cadets winning at the buzzer with a last second shot by freshman, Maria Jackson. The re-match rivaled the first meeting, with the outcome going to Arcadia's Titans (15-2). Maria Jackson had 16 points and senior Carneisha Henry added 13 points in the Cadet's loss. This was the final regular season home game for the Lady Cadets. They were ranked #5 for the Super 7 Poll for the week of February 7. (RECAP)

AGAIN! DEFEAT RANGERS 45-30
The Lady Cadets (12-4)
extended their winning streak to eight games on the road
against the Spencerport Rangers, defeating the Rangers
45-30. Carneisha Henry led the Lady Cadets with 12
points. Biz Reinhardt added 10 points and Maria
Jackson had 9 points. The Lady Cadets defense was
able to shut down the Ranger's offensive weapon, Senior
Tara Caples who averages 15 points per game; Caples
scored only 3 points in the game. Spencerport's
Emily Potter scored 12 points for the Rangers (2-15).
The Lady Cadets remain in 2nd Place in the Section V AAA
Standings behind Fairport and are ranked 7th in the
Monroe County (all schools).

After enjoying a comfortable lead through three quarters, the Lady Cadets found themselves with a marginal lead, after the Churchville-Chili Saints (9-7) pulled to within one point with seconds left on the clock. Kate Moss grabbed a rebound and was fouled with 15.5 seconds left on the clock. At the line, Kate sunk both foul shots to put the Lady Cadets ahead, 45-42. C-C's Maire Dunning hit two free throws on the other end to pull the Saints to within one again. On the inbound pass, Heather Hebert was sent to the line to shoot 2 with 1.1. seconds left on the clock. Heather sunk both shots, putting the Cadets ahead 47-44. The Saints tried to get the ball down-court as the clock ran out. Carneisha Henry led the Lady Cadets with 15 points and 13 rebounds. After suffering a last minute, 2-point loss to Brockport (in Brockport) on December 18, the Lady Cadets were ready for the rematch on January 29. Going into the game on a 5-game win streak, the Lady Cadets took home court advantage going into the half with a 21-16 lead. In the third quarter, the Lady Cadets outscored Brockport 11-4. Although the Blue Devil's outscored the Lady Cadets in the fourth (12-9), the Lady Cadet defense was able to shut down Brockport's leading scorer Marissa Sell. In the December's matchup, Sell who averages 17.3 point per game, scored 20 points. In the rematch, Sell was held to only 8 points and was leading scorer for the Blue Devils. Hilton's Biz Reinhart (7 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steal), Maria Jackson (10 points) and Carneisha Henry (9 points, 8 rebounds) led the Lady Cadets. They were ranked 7th on the Democrat & Chronicle's Large-School poll, and continue to be ranked #2 on the Section V AAA behind Fairport (12-2) and 3rd in Monroe County West behind Greece Athena and Greece Arcadia.
The Lady Cadets Varsity Basketball team (9-4) silently slipped into 2nd Place in Section V AAA Standings with their 54-41 victory over Gates Chili Spartans (8-4) on January 22 at home. Carneisha Henry led the Lady Cadets with 16 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks. Maria Jackson poured on the heat, scoring all of her 8 points in the 2nd half; adding 14 rebounds for the Lady Cadets. Heather Hebert added 12 points and Biz Reinhardt added 9 points in this team-effort victory. Leading 26-20 at the half, the Lady Cadets gained momentum in the third quarter when senior, Alyssa Nesbitt hit 3 consecutive jump shots. This was the second time these teams have met this season; the Lady Cadets defeated Gates Chili, 55-48, at Gates Chili, on December 15. (RECAP)
The Lady Cadets, led by Carneshia Henry with 18 points, jumped out to a 17-8 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. The Lady Cadets outscored the Spartans 21-9 in the second quarter, going into the half with a 39-17 lead. Although Olympia did outscore the Cadets in the 2nd half (24-18), the Lady Cadets never lost command of the game. Junior guard Biz Reinhardt scored 12 points and senior forward Kate Moss added a season-high 10 points for the Lady Cadets. Olympia's Jenna Hoecker had 11 points and made three 3-pointers. (RECAP)
With 2 seconds left in the game, Maria Jackson took a pass from Kate Moss just past half-court and put up the final shot. At the buzzer, the ball fell through the net for three and the upset victory! Senior, Carneisha Henry led the Lady Cadets (7-4) with 17 points and 3 rebounds, scoring 10 points in the fourth quarter. Heather Hebert added 8 points and Maria Jackson scored 7, including the game-winner at the buzzer. Biz Reinhardt had 7 points for the Lady Cadets, Kate Moss added 5 and Alyssa Nesbitt 2. Tuesday Night Courtside! The Lady Cadets all saw playtime against the Spencerport Rangers. Carneisha Henry led the Lady Cadets with 21 points - 17 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks in the first half! Biz Reinhardt and Heather Hebert each scored 12 points in the Cadet's 53-39 win.

CADET CLASSIC TOURNAMENT
In a re-match of the 2009 Lady Cadet Classic Finals, the Lady Cadets met the Wayland-Cohoctan Eagles in the Consolation Game of the 2010 Finals. Leading by two at the half, the Lady Cadets defense came out strong in the second half, allowing W-C Eagles to only 2 points in the third quarter. The Lady Cadets held onto the lead in the fourth defeating the Eagles 33-23. Biz Reinhardt, in her third appearance since returning from a soccer-related knee injury, led the Lady Cadets with 10 points. Senior Carneisha Henry added 6 points/10 rebounds in the Lady Cadet's win and was named to the All Tournament Team. [Game Recap] In the Championship Game, Irondequoit defeated Olean, 61-47. The
Lady Cadets played the late game in the first round of
the Lady Cadet Classic on January 8. The Lady
Cadets were led by senior, Carneisha Henry (#45) with 11
points and 10 rebounds. Freshman Maria Jackson
(#40) and senior Kate Moss (#21) added 9 and 8 points
respectively in the Cadet loss. Irondequoit's
Cicilia Sigrist had 15 points and
six rebounds and Keri Soppe added 14
points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4
blocks for Irondequoit (5-2, 3-1).
Jessica Lindsay had 10 of her 12
points in third quarter as the
Eagles outscored the Cadets 24-4.

The Lady Cadets trailed by 2 at the half but came out for a strong third quarter to take the lead. The Trojans went on an 8-0 run to go up 47-44 after trailing 44-39 with under two minutes to play. The Lady Cadets could not regain the lead, losing 46-47 at the buzzer.

for Greece Athena (6-2).

LADY CADETS WIN OVER
WILSON 51-29 The Lady Cadets played an early game on the road against Wilson Magnet High School on Tuesday, December 22. The Cadets outscored Wilson in each quarter, and held Wilson to only 2 points in the 2nd quarter, enjoying a 19-11 half-time lead. Captains Carneisha Henry and Becky Hebert combined for 39 of the Cadets points. Additionally, Henry added 10 assists. Next Game: The Lady Cadets will host Greece Athena on January 5, 2010 (7:15 at Hilton High School). This will be the second matchup for these teams this season. BrOCKPORT BLUE DEVILS
STOP LADY CADETS Brockport handed the Lady Cadets their second loss, spoiling the Cadets' 3-game win streak, with a game-breaking steal by jump shot with 15 seconds left in the game. The Lady Cadets, led by Becky Hebert with 14 points, held an 8-point lead at the half, but the Blue Devils refused to quit. Brockport held the Lady Cadets to only 4 points in the 3rd quarter, and tying the game in the final minute of regulation. With the clock running down, Audrey Hayward stole the ball and passed to Marissa Sell to sink the winning basket. (RECAP)
Senior Carneisha Henry
scored 13 of her 19 points in the first half on the road
against Gates-Chili and the Lady Cadets defense held the
Lady Spartans to only 12 points. Down by 18 at the
end of the third quarter, the Spartans offense put up 23
points in the fourth quarter, but Hilton's defense was
able to hang on for the 55-48 win. Becky Hebert
had 12 points and Maria Jackson added 11 points for the
Lady Cadets.

Lady Cadets Defeat
Pittsford Mendon in OT AT WIR TOURNEY Up 24-10 at the half, Hilton's offense struggled in the 2nd half, as Pittsford Mendon took the lead in the final minute of regulation. Pittsford Mendon's defense was tight, but Hilton's Kate Moss was able to launch a ten-foot jumper at the buzzer to send the game into overtime. Carneisha Henry scored 6 of her 15 points in OT, including a layup in the final seconds to give the Cadets a 41-38 win. The win gave Hilton 3rd place in the West Irondequoit Tournament which was won by Greece Athena following a 42-37 win over Irondequoit. Senior captain, Becky Hebert was named to the All-Tournament Team. Becky scored 18 points against Pittsford Mendon and 17 in the first round loss vs. Greece Athena. (RECAP)
In their first game of the season, the Lady Cadets were defeated by the Greece Athena Trojans, 35-53 in the first round of the West Irondequoit Tournament on Thursday, December 3. Senior Captain, Becky Hebert led the Lady Cadets with 17 points, 1 assist, 6 rebounds and 2 steals and sophomore Maria Jackson had 8 points, 1 assist, 7 rebounds and 3 steals in the game. (RECAP)
